We treat all forms of addiction including: alcohol, drugs (prescribed and non-prescribed), gambling, gaming, sex and love (including pornography), and some food related disorders. We focus on helping our clients maintain long-term, stable, abstinence-based recovery. We provide relapse prevention training, connectivity with 12 Step fellowship groups and other forms of mutual aid as well as an aftercare service. Our team is connected to the world’s leading experts in the research and teaching of addictions treatment. Our tried and tested interpersonal group therapy model provides a rich and safe environment in which clients gain valuable insights into their relationships with themselves, other people and the substances or behaviours of their addiction. The Care Quality Commission rates Clouds House ‘good’ overall and ‘good’ in all five inspection domains: well-led, safe, caring, responsive, and effective.
Keeping you safe at Clouds House during the Covid-19 pandemic
We treat private paying clients, those who have private medical insurance and those in receipt of state funding (when available). We also raise funds to treat people who are unable to obtain funding from any other source. Clients must be aged 18 or over.
Our treatment includes specialist assessment (including psychiatric assessment) and medically supervised withdrawal from alcohol and drug dependence.
Interpersonal group therapy is at the bedrock of our treatment model, and bedrooms are shared so that experience, hope and solidarity can be shared.
As well as interpersonal group therapy, our treatment model also includes individual counselling, education through lectures and workshops, complementary therapies and access to family counselling.
Every summer our Clouds House alumni reunite to connect with friends, share strength and hope, and celebrate their recovery together.
