By the age of 20, Jack was a high-performing property salesman in London. Working hard and earning lots of money, the high life welcomed Jack with open arms, and his partying lifestyle quickly helped him deal with the pressures of his career. Within just three years, addicted to alcohol and drugs, Jack weighed 25 stone and was given six months to live.
In January 2017, Jack began his treatment at Action on Addiction’s Clouds House, an experience he describes as “brutal but life-changing”. Now, 18 months into his recovery, Jack regularly attends Narcotics and Cocaine Anonymous meetings, and has lost almost 11 stone with the help of a strict diet and fitness regime. Jack cycled 240 miles from The Brink in Liverpool to Clouds House in East Knoyle, Wiltshire, raising almost £20,000 to help fund the treatment of those who are suffering from addiction.
