Clouds House

Clouds has been a life-saving sanctuary for sufferers of addiction since 1983. We provide some of the highest standards of care in the country, and our team is connected to the world’s leading experts and institutions in the research and teaching of addiction treatment. Everyone you meet at Clouds – the expert medical team, the specialist counsellors, the caring housekeeping staff, and the welcoming receptionists – is rooting for you.

Our tried and tested interpersonal group therapy model provides a rich and safe environment in which clients gain valuable insights into their relationships with themselves, other people and the substances or behaviours of their addiction.

On average, we have an 83% completion rate, and 95% of our clients tell us their treatment at Clouds was either ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.

We treat all forms of addiction including:

  • Alcoholism
  • Drug addiction
  • Prescribed drug addiction
  • Gambling addiction
  • Gaming addiction
  • Food related disorders
  • Sex addiction

Key elements of the treatment programme include:

  • Supervised detoxification
  • Interpersonal group therapy
  • Education through lectures and workshops
  • Relapse prevention counselling
  • Creative workshops – art therapy and creative writing
  • Therapeutic duties around the house
  • Complementary therapies – zumba, Indian head massage, relaxation, foot massage and reflexology

Our aftercare programme is designed to support our clients to make the transition away from residential treatment and enable them to stay in touch with others who are making the challenging journey of recovery from addiction.

We involve families in their loved one’s treatment because we know that connection and communication loosen addiction’s grip.
