Taking Action on Addiction is a campaign which aims to reframe existing perceptions of addiction and build awareness of the causes and nature of addiction that improves understanding, reduces prejudice and enables more people to ask for and receive help.
It's a major campaign that will be launched during Addiction Awareness Week running October 18-24, 2021.
We are making a film for Addiction Awareness Week which will emphasise that Addiction Can Happen To Anyone and Recovery Is Possible. And we need YOUR help!
We are trying to demonstrate how massive the recovery community is – not just for people in recovery, but for their families and friends.
To do this in the film we need 100 pictures of people holding up chalkboards or signs with positive messages of recovery – about themselves or their loved ones.
If you are comfortable doing this please just ask a friend to take a landscape picture of you holding up a sign with a positive message of recovery.
