Admissions & Reintegration Co-ordinator - Central Liverpool

£19,890 pa
35 hrs/wk

The Action on Addiction Community Recovery programme in Liverpool is designed to help people with drug and alcohol problems receive abstinence-based treatment while residing in the community.

The Role

This role will require you to:

  • Support the Case Management Lead in undertaking referral and assessment work for our SHARP programme (Self Help Addiction Recovery Programme); as well as
  • Co-ordinate client reintegration into the community while they are in the SHARP and Continuing Care Programmes

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a community or residential substance misuse treatment service for a minimum of 2 years
  • Ideally a recognised qualification appropriate for this role (eg NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care), or actively working towards it
  • Ideally a working knowledge of the 12-step, SMART and ITEP programmes, as well as experience of carrying out needs and risk assessments
  • Importantly, the ability to be empathetic with clients, whilst at the same time maintaining clear professional boundaries, with a non-judgemental attitudes towards clients and their families

Addictions Counsellor

Permanent role, full-time (35 hrs/wk)

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our highly effective and well-trained Counselling Team. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of some - or all - of the following:

  • A counselling qualification to Level 4 or above
  • Understanding/experience of the 12-Step Philosophy
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of facilitating group therapy, workshops, carrying out individual case management sessions and working with and supporting family members

Receptionist

Permanent, part time (18 hrs per week, 2 ½ days per week Mon-Fri)

£9,143 pa

The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible individual who can provide a professional and confidential service. Duties include:

  • Prompt and professional response to incoming telephone calls
  • Providing a friendly and reassuring reception for clients arriving for assessment, admission or visit.
  • Processing the post and taking delivery of goods, and distributing to relevant departments
  • General administrative duties

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Experience of providing a friendly reassuring reception for visitors and to incoming telephone calls
  • Ability to be empathetic with clients and visitors
  • Ability to maintain the principles of confidentiality at all times
