Head of Service (Community Recovery) Central Liverpool c£43k pa Action on Addiction is looking for someone exceptional to lead our community addiction rehabilitation service in Liverpool. This role will require you to: Lead the delivery of Action on Addiction’s services in Liverpool and any additional grant-funded activities in accordance with the contract Manage a budget of £1m+ pa but constantly seek to build substantial new business and pursue opportunities for growth Lead a strong and highly effective team that delivers high quality community-based recovery services Further develop and promote our Brink Café with a commercial approach, seeking to generate increased revenue Be Action on Addiction’s ambassador in this region, developing new business opportunities and playing a key role in building the addiction recovery community And importantly, deliver against agreed business objectives and performance targets year-on-year Our ideal candidate is someone who: Can demonstrate operational leadership in a service-based multi-site, multi-dimensional context Has commercial experience from working in roles such as operation/service manager or business development manager Has experience of setting and managing budgets, as well as controlling contracts and resource planning Is educated to degree level, preferably with a higher education qualification in management/leadership, service delivery and business administration In terms of your personal attributes, you will: Engender confidence in leadership with clients, customers, partners and staff Ideally have a strong understanding of the way commissioner-provider systems and networks operate, particularly in the field of substance misuse and/or addiction recovery.
