Budgeting and extra costs
You are responsible for the travel costs associated with this course. The cost will depend on where you live, your chosen method of transport and includes; travel to the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies, the University of Bath and your work based learning placement.
Teaching on this course is delivered in three, four and five day at the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies blocks in Warminster and you are responsible for accommodation costs.
We provide bed and breakfast accommodation at the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies for students who wish to stay onsite during their teaching weeks.
The pay as you go rate for accommodation at the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies is:
• £40 per person per night for single occupancy
• £30 per person per night for shared occupancy
The night before teaching starts (usually a Sunday) is complementary but please note breakfast will not be provided the following morning.
Equipment and materials
You will need to budget around £100 for additional costs such as printing and photocopying. As a student you will also be required to buy SD cards and readers for recording practice based teaching sessions. The approximate cost for SD cards for the course is up to £20.
You might also need recording equipment for your research project, although there are many free or low cost options available now for students which you can discuss with your Tutor.
Books and other resources
You will have access to the University of Bath Library and a smaller library at the Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies. This also includes extensive online library facilities. You may, however, wish to purchase core text books for your course. The cost of each book will vary and is the responsibility of the student.
