Action on Addiction is offering a unique opportunity for supporters and beneficiaries of the charity to come together to achieve a personal goal.

We have 50 places for RUN10 reserved at a reduced rate for anyone who is part of the Action on Addiction family, whether you are a former client, colleague, fundraiser, supporter, friend or family member.

The 10km takes place in Richmond Park, London on 16 September 2018, and there’s no obligation to fundraise.

Entry is just £20 each and every runner will receive an Action on Addiction running vest. Runners will be offered the opportunity to connect with other local participants so they can organise training runs before the big day.

Our aim is to help more people understand and enjoy the connection between physical wellbeing and mental health, a journey which is familiar to many recovering addicts. In fact, earlier this year, the documentary Skid Row Marathon shone a light on a running group of recovering addicts in Los Angeles and its powerful role in the recovery and transformation of these individuals.

The RUN10 event is also a chance for those passionate about our work to meet up and connect with each other, continuing to build their own communities of recovery, as well as an opportunity to continue to raise the profile of our work and by doing so tackle the stigma and shame of addiction which prevents many people from accessing the help they need.
