Some 21 runners and over 400 bikers will be participating in fundraising events this weekend in a bumper weekend of charitable activity for Action on Addiction.

John and Wendy Bramble, from Weymouth, created motorcycle fundraising event ‘Not just a ride – a ride to change a life’ four years ago, to honour their son Craig, who sadly lost his life to solvent abuse, in 2001.

Taking place on Sunday 22 April, the event will see over 400 motorbikes on the road as the bikers ride from Weymouth along the South West coast to Exmouth, with the aim of raising £6,000 for Action on Addiction.

Also on Sunday, over 20 runners will be pounding the streets of the capital as they take part in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2018 targeting a total fundraising amount of nearly £40,000.
