Inclusive B&B accommodation and study facilities packages
We are now able to offer inclusive accommodation packages for enrolled Foundation Degree Students, full-time and part-time. We believe the packages offer excellent value.
These packages are a strongly recommended option for those who travel more than 20 miles to and from the centre. Here are some of the practical, financial and academic advantages:
- Learning facilities include on-site library, workstations, broadband internet access (wireless and wired), tutorial support.
- The development of a student community enabling mutual support and discussion.
- Considerably reduced travel costs (usually only one journey per Unit).
- Prompt starting of teaching sessions without late arrivals due to long journeys to the teaching centre (this has been a fairly frequent problem in the past).
- Opportunity for full-time students to repeat occasional missed units by joining the part-time residential group.
- Affordable accommodation of a high standard, with private facilities for academic work (desk, in-room broadband connection).
- More easily managed absence from work placements and opportunity to attend work placements on any weekday in order to participate in all the timetabled agency activities.
The cost of the residential package, which includes all overnight stays including the night before the unit teaching starts, and breakfast on each morning, is £1200 for Stage 1 of the degree, and £800 for Stage 2. Part time students completing the whole degree programme pay this across four years: £600 per year for the first two years and £400 per year for years 3 and 4. Monthly payment plans are available.
