Campaigns

Action on Addiction runs high-profile campaigns aimed at raising awareness about the problem of addiction and breaking down the stigma and denial that surrounds addiction in our society.

jemmaangelThe Angels Against Addiction Campaign

The Angels Against Addiction Campaign encourages people to become Guardian Angels - to understand the causes and problems of addiction in order to offer help and support to their friends and family.

Our flagship fundraising event, The Angels Ball is part of the Angels Against Addiction campaign.

You can also support Angels Against Addiction by wearing an 'angels' t-shirt or vest top. Celebrity guardian angels supporting the campaign include Tania Bryer, Emilia Fox and Laura Bailey.

laurasportThe Sport Against Addiction Campaign

The Sport Against Addiction campaign highlights the positive role that sport can play in helping people overcome an addiction, or preventing them from developing one. It encourages people to get active, to help those suffering from an addiction, and promotes a healthy lifestyle to all.

Every year the Sport Against Addiction Dinner and Auction raises thousands of pounds for Action on Addiction. Celebrity supporters of the campaign include Kelly Holmes, Greg Rusedski, Mike Atherton and Matthew Pinsent.
