We are based in Warminster, Wiltshire
but you can study from anywhere!
At Action on Addiction, we have established an international reputation for our high quality Addictions Counselling courses.
We provide a flexible and supportive approach to professional education, combining traditional teaching and assessment with work-based learning. We aim to play a key role in improving the qualifications within the addictions field.

Full-Time Addictions Counselling Foundation Degree (FDSc)
The full-time Foundation Degree, accredited by University of Bath, arms students with the skills to become well-trained Counsellors working in the addictions treatment field. This programme is designed for newcomers to the field.
Part-Time Addictions Counselling Foundation Degree (FDSc)
The part-time Foundation Degree is designed for those already working in the field who want to further develop practitioner skills and knowledge.
Applicants that have already completed the Foundation Degree, whether full-time or part-time can apply for the
Honours year by contacting the Centre.
Continuing Professional Development
We also run short term courses, between 2 and 5 days in duration, on a number of key topics within the field of Addictions Counselling. These can be applied for online following the link above.
Families Plus
Professional Development course: Working with families and significant others.
Substance Use and Domestic Violence - Providing a Risk-Led Response: a 4 day course developed in conjunction with Co-ordinated Action Against Domestic Abuse (CAADA)
